PAGE OF WANDS

HE APPEARS ON THE SCENE TO DELIVER A MESSAGE OF ACTION

Whenever we talk about the 4 pages in the Tarot deck, it is first important to note that they are always messengers that have the chief function of making a delivery to implement the particular elemental energy behind them. They act as a link between higher court cards in that suit and the material scenes depicted on the minor arcana cards. They carry the force of the elemental energy as handed down from the astral realm and manifest that energy in their appearance on the scene. Therefore they have no astrological correspondence because they are earthly messengers.

The PAGE OF WANDS is a messenger of action, adventure, and plans. He carries the fiery energy of the element, namely Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius all wrapped up in one. Because wands always come first of the four suits, he is considered the "first" page and therefore shares an attribute of new beginnings similar to the Ace of Wands and The Fool. Note that his flashy feather that he wears in his cap is similar to the one which The Fool wears. Since this is the only other card in the whole deck besides the Fool that has a feather in his cap we immediately associate the two cards.

When this flashy and dramatic page shows up in a reading, especially in a future position, his meaning is very clear- a communication is coming soon, be it by email, phone, fax, or skywriting, whatever,  of a new action or plan. The communicado will probably come quickly and have a flashy/dramatic flare to it. The news will be one of perhaps new career or project or plan. Travel is very much a possibility. Risk will play a major role as fiery intensity of any kind usually carries with it some risk. But as with most anything in life, reward does not come without risk and the greater the risk, the greater the reward.

INFINITE WISDOM SYMBOL

"A QUANTITY OF WISDOM WITHOUT BOUND OR END"
THE MAGICIAN- POSSESSES AND COMMUNICATES
STRENGTH (LEO) - WISDOM FROM COURAGE IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY
TWO OF PENTACLES - WISDOM IN THE HARMONY OF CHANGE

There are only 3 cards in the deck of 78 Tarot cards which depict the mysterious symbol of infinity, which is like an 8 on it's side. While the symbol refers to infinity itself, the inclusion and appearance in the cards is one which illustrates infinity wisdom, in which lie the secrets of life. Which is precisely what the Tarot itself is- a journey into the secrets of life. By discovering those secrets, we then dig out and extract the priceless wisdom very much like an archaeologist would.

SEVEN OF CUPS

JUST WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON HERE?

So what really is going on here? We have a man with his back turned to us and no features and he's having a dream or vision of some sort and in his dream are 7 cups each of which have something in it. These things are basically unrelated to each other- a man's head, a illuminated mushroom, a snake, a castle, some jewels, a wreath, and a strange red dragon/serpent looking creature.

The answer to this question actually lies in the question itself which is WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE? The name of this card is ILLUSIONARY SUCCESS. The astrological correspondence is Scorpio in Venus and it is an unsuitable combination as the destructive and decaying nature of Scorpio takes it's toll on Venus resulting in self-deception, often on an egocentric level. So no matter where this card shows up in the spread, be it past, present, or future position, one thing is certain- SOMETHING IS NOT AS SEEMS.

This card's appearance in a spread is usually seldom. Since it doesn't appear often and has one very specific implication, I call this a very bankable card. In regards to the subject they're asking about, I always tell the person I'm reading for that for sure there is an illusionary aspect to the success of this. More directly, there is something they have put their hopes or trust in regarding the outcome that is not what it seems. Because of it's element, the card also signifies a watering-down or diluted aspect to the situation. Since it is a very "heady" card, it is not uncommon for this card to also point out an addiction such as drugs, alcohol, or carnal.

THE POWER OF THE 4 ACES !

I suppose it is only befitting that for my first post I should talk about the four aces for they always represent that BEGINNING ENERGY. They are said to reside at the four corners of the North Pole and are literally the conduit that implements that particular element (wands, swords, cups, pentacles.) The energy for the element comes from the astral realm and zaps the ACE and it is manifested into our material world.

In a reading, the ace always represent that beginning force so for example, if one draws an Ace of Pentacles, it can be assured that a new financial or material opportunity (money, new career offer, cars, boats, etc) is being manifested. Very simply put, Ace of Cups is new emotions, Ace of Swords new mental thoughts or energy and Ace of Wands new action or adventure.

The importance of Aces showing up in spreads can not be underestimated. Some readers have felt that they are so important that you should throw out the entire rest of the spread and by default focus only on the ace(s) remaining. This is a bit extreme but contextually drives the point home- the aces are POTENT and POWERFUL. Please refer to this little chart to help you discern the implication of that power according to how many aces are drawn.

4 ACES - THIS WOULD INDICATE TREMENDOUS POWER AND FORCE, THE COSMOS ARE LITERALLY OPENING UP TO GRANT YOU THE SUBJECT OR ISSUE IN QUESTION

3 ACES - GREAT SUCCESS AND RICHES, AGAIN DEPENDING ON SUBJECT. HOWEVER, EVEN IF THE SUBJECT WAS MONEY OR MATERIAL AND YOU HAD THE OTHER THREE ACES, THE CARDS ARE STILL GIVING YOU MAJOR FLASHING GREEN LIGHTS TO GO AHEAD!

2 ACES - THIS INDICATES A DUALITY HAPPENING WITH THE SUBJECT IN QUESTION AND VERY POSSIBLY POINTS TO SOME TRICKERY OR DECEIT THE CARDS ARE TRYING TO WARN YOU ABOUT. FOCUS ON THE SUITS OF THE TWO ACES, WHERE THEY ARE IN THE SPREAD AND LOOK FOR THE MEANING OF THE APPARENT DUALITY.

1 ACE - THE ENTIRE POWER OF THE SPREAD IS RESTING AND POINTING TO THIS ACE, WHATEVER IT IS AND WHEREVER IN THE SPREAD. IT IS THE NEW BEGINNING OF THAT ELEMENT WITH ALL THE OTHER CARDS IN THE SPREAD REVOLVING AROUND IT.
